Pole dancing parties can be held for all sorts of reasons, such as bachelorette parties, birthday parties, or just about any other reason you can think of. And let's face it, who needs an excuse to have loads of fun anyway?

The pole parties are held at your specified venue, and your Pole Bunny for the evening will travel to you and put the pole up at your venue. The parties last around two hours, depending on the number of ladies participating, although if you are on a tight schedule, please inform your Pole Bunny and she will adjust her time accordingly.

When selecting a venue for the party, you first need to ensure that the ceiling of the venue is suitable to put up the pole safely. If your Pole Bunny feels it is unsafe to do so she will NOT put the pole up, and you will still be liable for the full amount. So please, to ensure that everyone has fun safely, make sure that the ceiling of the venue complies with the following requirements:

  • The ceiling height must be between 2.4m and 3.1m. These are the limits of the pole.
  • The ceiling must be level - i.e. it should not slope.
  • The ceiling must be either concrete, knotty pine or ceiling board. Wooden beams will work, provided they are square and not round such as the beams often found in lapas.
  • In the case of a ceiling board ceiling, it must not be a lowered or "false" ceiling - in other words it must be attached to a beam. (Restaurants often have "false" ceilings, so be careful when using a restaurant as your venue for the party.)

The pole has a big rubber pad at the top, and can be lengthened or shortened (within the above limits) to fit to your ceiling. Essentially it is the friction between the rubber pad and the ceiling that keeps the pole in place. If your ceiling is made of ceiling board, the Pole Bunny will put the pole up where the ceiling board is attached to a beam. This means that the beam takes the strain, and not your ceiling.

As long as the above requirements for the ceiling are met, the pole will not damage your ceiling. If your Pole Bunny feels that the ceiling is not suitable and may be damaged by the pole, she will not put the pole up. However, if your ceiling complies to the requirements above, this will not be a problem.

Your Pole Bunny will bring a CD with some suitable music. You need to ensure the availability of a CD player for use during the party. If you prefer specific music then that can also be used. Some girls like to make a mix-CD beforehand, with music that the bride and/or the other guests like. For one party the bridegroom made a CD for us to use with all the bride's favourite songs on, which added a very special touch. Alternatively, if the occassion is a girl's night, then it is also a cool idea to instruct each girl to bring along her favourite song to use for the show.

If you want to have the party at a public venue such as a restaurant, remember that some ladies may be quite shy to "shake it" in front of a restaurant full of strangers. Try to ensure that you book a secluded spot, or preferably a separate enclosed area, in the restaurant. And remember to check the ceiling BEFORE making the booking, to ensure that it is suitable. You may also want to confirm with the restaurant owner that they will be happy with us putting up the pole.

At the parties, all ladies are encouraged to participate in the pole dancing. Firstly, it is a lot more fun if everyone participates, and it prevents the guest of honour from feeling like a bunny in the headlights! Sometimes ladies are a bit shy about letting their inner pole bunny out, but after a few minutes (and sometimes a glass of wine) most ladies lose their inhibitions and join in the fun. However, your Pole Bunny will never force anyone to participate if they don't want to, and will always bear safety in mind where a move may be strenuous for some people.
